You can shift from suicidal to angry, then joyful within the space of 10 minutes. Rejection is a constant fear, yet your actions towards people makes it seem like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Most people who join the DBT Comprehensive Program are in a place of readiness to seek a more intensive level of help to stop seeing things solely in black and white, gain a better understanding of who they are as a person, and to gain a very effective set of skills to stay alive. 

The clients who I have seen make tremendous progress in DBT started out with the tendency to look to others to make decisions or form opinions due to a lack of trust in their own judgement. They were highly compassionate and often put the needs of others before their own. With DBT, they have been able to recognize their genuine selves and gain direction in their own lives.
