THERAPY FOR HIGHLY SENSITIVE
PEOPLE
Do any of these sound familiar?
- My emotions are intense and can change several times per day.
- When I say no, I feel guilty.
- People say I'm too intense when I'm just trying to be assertive.
- I don't even know who I am. I don't have my own identity.
- Everyone around me thinks I'm fine, but I'm miserable inside.
- One wrong look leaves me feeling judged & empty.
- I feel empty, lonely, and unworthy of love.
- Feeling accepted (by myself and others) is a daily struggle.
- I hold my emotions in until I feel like I could explode.
- Some days, I wish I was no longer alive.
Hey there, you
are not alone.
We are committed to helping you develop coping skills to survive the emotional storms, regulate your mood, improve relationships, and grow your mindfulness skills.
We work with highly sensitive people (HSP's) who struggle with navigating life. We can't wait to tell you more about the treatment and the changes that are very possible for you.
Finding the right skills and a validating therapist to walk with you as you build your 'life worth living' is the way out of emotional spirals.
What is
Comprehensive
DBT Therapy?
Our DBT Comprehensive program goes well beyond the therapy room, helping you to apply coping skills in the moment. We offer individual therapy, skills groups, access to phone coaching, and therapist consultation, in accordance to the original design of DBT—making it more likely to be effective.
Most people who join the DBT Comprehensive Program are ready to seek help to stop seeing things in black and white, to gain a better understanding of who they are as a person, and to learn an effective set of skills to develop a life worth living.
What is
DBT-Informed
Therapy?
DBT-Informed Therapy integrates principles and coping skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy into individual therapy sessions. Unlike the Comprehensive DBT Program, which includes individual therapy, skills groups, phone coaching, and therapist consultation, DBT-Informed Therapy focuses on learning and applying DBT skills within the context of individual therapy.
DBT-Informed Therapy can be helpful for people who want practical tools to better manage emotions, stress, and relationships. However, it does not include all components of the comprehensive DBT model, which research suggests is most effective for individuals with more complex or high-risk needs.
Your therapist will work with you to determine whether DBT-Informed Therapy is an appropriate level of care based on your goals, symptoms, and overall needs. Outcomes may vary depending on individual circumstances and engagement in treatment.
All people, at any given moment, are doing the best that they can.
